Create a better future together

In the Netherlands we are fortunate enough not to be much affected by the devastating force of nature. But not everyone is so lucky. For example, Indra Kumari, a mother in Sri Lanka. In the past ten years she has had to deal with a tsunami in 2004 and heavy flooding in 2011. The water destroyed everything she had. Twice ... And as if that was not enough, her country was torn apart by civil war until 2008. Indra’s husband and many other family members lost their life, making her now a single mother of two children. Indra Kumari is not the only one with an experience like that.

Help victims survive

No one can prevent natural disasters and conflicts. CARE Nederland can not, and neither can you, but together we can make sure that people who are affected are better prepared. Moreover, we can help those who are worst affected to survive. During a disaster or conflict, and most definitely afterwards.
