Responding to gender-based violence

Gender-based violence (GBV) still happens frequently in countries like Rwanda and Burundi. Their governments have acted upon the alarming number of GBV cases and adopted several policies and laws to prevent and punish GBV.

CARE’s Every Voice Counts program is implemented in Rwanda and Burundi to support the fight against gender-based violence by capacitating women and men, and civil society to advocate for a life free from GBV.
